Windows Police Pro Removal

Windows Police Pro

Windows Police Pro

UPDATE: for those who want to use software to remove this threat and not spend hours manually tracing down the traces we found a way to do it. We built a custom registry mod to undo the damage Windows Police Pro has done to your registry.  This .reg file will overide the Windows Police Pro setting and you should then be able to run an antivirus client

Windows Police Pro is a fake security client based of the past work of Windows Antvirus Pro.  Most likely it is the same corrupt people at it again.  This client will only show false scan results and the warning messages are bogus as well.  One such message reads “Your computer is being attacked by an Internet Virus. It could be password-stealing attack, a trojan-dropper or similar”.  This is a FALSE statement.  The whole reason for these kinds of warnings is to trick and scare the user into making a purchase of the Windows Police Pro software. In almost all cases people get infected with this through some kind or Fake Trojan Downloader.  In many cases this fake security software is not the only virus on your computer.  You will need to run a full system scan using your favorite security client to ensure you are not infected with anything else besides Windows Police Pro. This fake client is also well known to hijack your web browser and constantly prompt the user to purchase the product.  If your computer has slowed down since being infected with this then Windows Police Pro is mostly to blame.
