Protection Center Removal

A fake anti-spyware program much like many other dangerous rogue security applications propagating throughout the internet today, Protection Center uses fear tactics to induce the user into purchasing a software license. A clone of the notorious rogue anti-malware programs Digital Protection, Dr. Guard, Your Protection and Data Protection, Protection Center is heavily promoted online by fake websites which claim to scan the user’s computer and come up with a number of fake threat warnings. These websites install a Trojan on the user’s system which downloads and installs Protection Center. Once downloaded and installed on the user’s computer, this rogue software immediately establishes itself as a startup application, displaying numerous pop-ups claiming that the user’s computer is heavily infected with various viruses. It then tells the user to purchase the ‘full’ version of Protection Center, claiming that the currently installed ‘trial’ version is incapable of cleaning out the fake ‘threats’. However, it should be noted that the ‘full’ version of this rogue software is no more capable of cleaning out your system than the ‘trial’ version, and under no circumstances should you allow yourself to be tricked into purchasing a license to the rogue software.

    1. This manual guide is useless since the Rogue disables task manager.
    2. if you do the automatic removal you will find that spyware doctor will scan and find the viri ( plural of virus :) but you have to pay for the full program to remove it.
Actually this is similar to what the rogues do. hmmm?

The best security clients always cost money. You get what you pay for with free clients. Almost none offer up front protection and free clients tend to not have the latest updates. Using the Spyware Doctor with Antivirus client is simply the best way to remove this client automatically. Regarless you can use the free scan to find your traces and then manually remove them. Plus it will ensure you have no other viruses besides this one.

The guide 100% works. It’s how we removed it manually.

As with many viruses the Task Manger may be disabled for some. I recommend you boot into safe mode and try. Or you could take a second and spend some time on this site. Under our kill processes section you will find a free tool that should be able to terminate the running processes mentioned above. We have even re-named one of the files to ensure viruses do not block it.

SDA is not a rogue client and in fact it has one hundreds of awards and rated very very high on CNET plus it’s an Editors pick. Facts speak louder then accusations.
