Vundo Virus Removal

Vundo is a trojan that causes pop-ups and other such advertising.  This is not always a straight forward type of advertising, either.  In most cases, those infected with Vundo will have a rogue security client installed on the computer.  Vundo is also well known to eat up system resources and slow your computer way down.

Because of the nature and thousands of different strains of Vundo, it can be super hard to remove. We at Removevirus.org do not recommend any manual removal option for this threat. It's just way too hard even for the experts.

With that said there are still many options open to you.  The first is to use a legit security client.  We recommend Spyware Doctor with Antivirus.  This is one of the world's leading security clients and it is capable of removing Vundo.  We do however recommend you go into the settings of this program and check the box to scan for "rootkits".  This is needed to ensure you fully remove the Vundo virus.

If you're like many people out there who just want an expert to remove this threat for them we recommend http://www.pcninja.com.  This company has removed vundo and other such threats thousands of times over the last few years and the price is very low for what they do. If you require more information on this threat then check out this Vundo site.  It has more in-depth information on the virus.

Also there is a second program we would like to give mention about.  This free program was built just to handle the Vundo threat.  However, in recent years it does not seem to be as effective in the actual Vundo removal process.  Still it's worth a shot if nothing seems to be working for you.  The place is http://vundofix.atribune.org/

Update 4-29-2013. Vundo is not so much a threat anymore. Back in 2007 through 2009 it was a huge threat online. Google Trends shows a huge spike in searches on the "Vundo" term during this time. However in 2013 it seems this threat has come and gone and not something most people have to worry about.
