Hi there, my girlfriend seemed to aquire this virus on the day it was released. She had turned her computer on and was prompted to download “window’s 9.” After the installation, her computer started warning her of virus threats and such.

The program is called “Vista Security 2011″ and we haven’t found any way to remove it.

Thanks for all the help, we’ll be keeping an eye on this for a solution, thanks again.

I noticed yesterday that somehow this Virus popped onto my computer. I’m not sure how I got it or what I clicked on to get it. But it’s very annoying! I have pop-ups that keep saying my programs can not start. It won’t even let me back up my laptop! PLEASE HELP! It’s called “Spyware Protection”.

    Hey guys ,

I am having problems with a malware called Internet Security (it doesnt say 2011) it has bedded its self into rundll32.exe . On the background of the startup it opens the fake scanning program wich led me to rundll . my AV trend micro wont pick it up neither will malwarebyte. In the last few minutes it has locked me out of windows and i am currently in safe mode . I really need a hand to fix this one if possible guys!

I have seen several articles online that simply state that I should run Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus to eradicate the Win 7 Security 2011 threat. It’s not as simple as that, right? Should I trust these articles?

Also, can you give us a progress report on how you are doing with this solution? I think many of us are anxiously waiting for your expert recommendation on this threat.

    Thanks!

    DOUG

The SDA client is a very good client and one that at the very least will help in removing this threat.

A guide on this threat will be posted if / when we actually have the virus to test out. As of yet we have not located it.

If you know the EXACT url were you got infected or the search engine term you were using right before the infection feel free to let us know.

My wife thinks she got the virus when she used the following search term in Google: “YMCA in Colorado Springs”.

I googled The Bealtes, and when I opened a photo a warning popped warning me about some critical threates. Now when I try to open my internet I can’t, because the program block it, and when I would uninstall it, I couldn’t – it isn’t on the list over programms.. It was this picture I opened, when the warning popped up: REMOVED LINK
