1. Regedit on vista
For some reason, I can't seem to open up regedit on my laptop. I put regedit in the start search place but nothing happens. It just says "no items match your search." My home PC does pull up the registry when I do this though and it is also windows vista. Is there something wrong with my laptop? My user account is an administrator so my access shouldn't be limited..How do I fix this??
2. Not sure what your problem
Not sure what your problem is. While many viruses disable the registry you normally would not get "no items match your search.
Perhaps you are not going to the correct location to run regedit? It sure sounds like you are doing it correctly. I would recommend attempting a system restore and go back a few weeks and see what happens.
